Madonna - Confessions Remixed

This is a special, Limited Edition vinyl-only release of several previously released and unreleased remixes from Madonna's latest album Confessions On A Dance Floor. This features remixes of "Hung Up", "Sorry", "Get Together", "I Love New York" and "Let It Will Be." All remixes were done by Stuart Price, who worked extensively on this album.

The mixes of "Hung Up", "Sorry" and "Let It Will Be" have been released already on various formats of singles.

For "Hung Up", both the SDP Extended Vocal and SDP Extended Dub are included. These were on the U.S. CD and 12" releases. Similarly, the Man With Guitar mix of "Sorry" was on a single too. The Paper Faces Mix of "Let It Will Be" is on here too. This is a longer version, but contains less vocals than the Paper Faces Vocal Edit which was added onto the "Sorry" single. This could be thought of as a dub mix.

The new mix of "Get Together" is a vocal mix while "I Love New York" is slightly more dubbish.
All these mixes are a must-have for a Madonna collector. This is truly a collector's item as there have only been 3000 copies pressed of this special collection. This is a set of three 12" vinyls.

April 11, 2006 is the scheduled release date.

PerfectBeat
has already announced that they will be carrying this for sale. Expect this one to sell very quickly. There's no word on whether this will be added to iTunes Music Store or if a CD release will occur.

Here is the tracklisting:

01 Hung Up (SDP's Extended Vocal Mix)
02 Hung Up (SDP's Extended Dub)
03 Sorry (Man With Guitar Remix)
04 Get Together (Jacques Lu Cont Mix)
05 I Love New York (Thin White Duke Mix)
06 Let It Will Be (Paper Faces Mix)

2raumwohnung - Sex Secret

German act 2raumwohnung (German for "2 room apartment") has finally been licensed and signed to NY-based Star 69 for a proper release of their track "Sasha (Sex Secret)".

The original track is an electronic-rock song. Think of The Killers, Stuart Price, Giorgio Moroder and The Veronicas all rolled into one.

Moguai, Peter Rauhofer, Hector Fonseca and Frosted Flake are on hand for the mixes. A CD maxi was released with all those mixes.

The Peter Rauhofer and Hector Fonseca mixes have been real floorfillers.

PerfectBeat and Star69 Records have the single for sale.

Natasha Bedingfield - The One That Got Away (Remixes)

British export Natasha Bedingfield has made quite an impression since landing on our shore last year. Aside from doing quite well with her unique brand of pop music, she has done quite well in clubland.

Her previous singles "These Words" and "Unwritten" have both had an impressive set of mixes. "These Words" had mixes by Lenny Bertoldo, Ford and Bimbo Jones. Johnny Vicious and Hani were on hand for the mixes of "Unwritten." Dance radio has embraced Natasha with these awesome mixes.

Natasha's next release is no different. "The One That Got Away" was a bonus cut on the U.S. version of Natasha's album. Mixes for this one are done by Chris Brann, best known under the aliases The Wamdue Project, Wamdue Kids and The Ananda Project.

A CD promo went out with the following mixes:

01 Wamdue Pop Rocks Mix
02 Wamdue Get Together Extended Vocal Mix
03 Wamdue Get Together Dub
04 Wamdue Get Together Radio Mix

Bette Midler - Fever (Remixes)

Peggy Lee's sultry standard "Fever" has made some sort of appearance in the music scene on a regular basis since the original release. Madonna's cover of this on the 1992 Erotica album was quite well-known. And this latest take by Bette Midler will be just as massive.

This is taken from the Divine Miss M's tribute album to Peggy Lee just as she had done for Rosemary Clooney some time back. This one is ready for the dancefloors with L.E.X. and Junior Vasquez's mixes. Both are on the circuit-house tip.

iTunes currently has the L.E.X. mixes for sale.

Amuka - I Want More (Cling On To Me)

Amuka a.k.a. Sheila Brody has had a handful of hits in clubland during the last few years. She is back with another new release that is no different. Israeli DJ/remixer/producer Offer Nissim featured a remix he did of this song last year on his mixed CD The Remixes which saw only an official release in Israel. The remix had remained unreleased until now. On Kult, this song and its mixes finally get a release.

There's a little something for everyone. There's trance, tribal house, garage, dark house and circuit mixes.

A CD maxi has just been released with the following tracklisting:

01 X-Tense Trance Remix
02 DJ Paulo Anthem Remix
03 Mahjonng Garage Remix
04 Southern Fried Remix
05 EG Mediterranean Groove Remix
06 EG Mediterranean Radio Edit
07 Gionfriddo Bros. Vocal Remix
08 Joe Bermudez & Klubjumpers Remix
09 John Riptide & Brianna Lee After-Hour Remix
10 Mahjonng Radio Edit
11 Offer Nissim Vocal Mix

Aside from all these mixes that are official, there are some unofficial mixes as well. Junior Vasquez has been playing his Fast Ellis Mix during his show Junior's World on XM radio and during his sets at the clubs. Arenna, Demu, Power-Gay, Quasi, and Trypsin have also given treatments to this hot song.

Chicane featuring Tom Jones - Stoned In Love

Nick Bracegirdle is back with a hot new track with vocals by the legendary Tom Jones. "Stoned In Love" is what this one is called. This is probably from Chicane's forthcoming album. After Easy To Assemble didn't really get a proper release, this one is definitely anticipated.

This track has some of Chicane's signature sounds, as well as some new ones of contemporary house music.

Pete Tong premiered the radio mix as well as the Vertigo Mix a short time back on his BBC Radio 1 show.

Promos have already gone out featuring several of the mixes.

I received a CD that has the following tracklisting:

01 Radio Edit
02 12" Club Mix
03 Vertigo Vocal Mix

There's also another promo out with the following tracklisting:

01 Club 12" Mix
02 Radio Edit
03 The Young Punx Dub Jam
04 The Young Punx Vocal Remix
05 Vertigo Remix Instrumental
06 Vertigo Vocal Mix

Listen to samples of all the mixes here.

This is slated for an April release.

Mariah Carey - Say Somethin

Some fabulous remixes by David Morales were done for the next single off of Mariah Carey's latest album The Emancipation Of Mimi.

On one of the CD promos that went out, this is the following tracklisting:

1. Morales Radio Edit
2. Morales' Stereo Anthem
3. Morales' Stereo Dub

These mixes, in addition to the Morales mixes of "It's Like That" are the only mixes to have new vocals recorded by Mariah. And these mixes were totally worth the wait.

The Morales mixes were actually completed in 2004 but had remained unreleased until now.

This is already bubbling under on the Billboard Dance/Club Play chart. Look out for this one to go to number one soon just as "It's Like That", "We Belong Together" and "Don't Forget About Us" had before it.
