Romanian boyband Akcent has released several English-language singles in an attempt to break into other countries. Their smash hit "Kylie" which even got the attention of syndicated weekly show Open House Party was their first and only success in the U.S. No additional singles in the U.S. have been issued yet."King Of Disco" is a simple Euro-Dance/Pop track with an infectious chorus and fun chorus. This song calls to mind some of the Euro acts of the 90's that managed to break into almost every country, whether or not they were welcome--not always a bad thing. Vengaboys, Aqua, Corona, Ace Of Base and Bad Boys Inc are just some of the artists that come to mind.
This one is definitely worth seeking out if only for the homage to Madonna at the end which is taken further in their campy video.
